Pima cotton, the silk of the Andes
Pima cotton
our new natural material from Peru
This summer, our collection is enriched by an exceptional material: Pima cotton, grown in the fertile lands of northern Peru. After several seasons working with alpaca wool, a noble and warm fibre from the Andes, we wanted to extend our link with this extraordinary country by exploring another local resource: Pima cotton.
What is Pima cotton?
Pima cotton is often referred to as the ‘silk of the Andes’, and for good reason: it is a cotton with exceptionally long, strong fibres. Originating in Peru, where it is still grown by hand in environmentally-friendly conditions, it is considered to be one of the best cottons in the world.
Why choose Pima cotton?
Pima cotton is much more than just a fabric: it's an exceptional material, recognised for its unique qualities and ethical origin. That's why we decided to include it in our summer collection.
Here are its main benefits:
- Exceptionally soft: silky to the touch, ideal for sensitive skin.
- Durability: it lasts longer than conventional cotton, even after many washes.
- Breathability: it lets the skin breathe, perfect for summer days.
- Responsible cultivation: often hand-grown and pesticide-free.
By working with Pima cotton, we continue to promote responsible fashion, choosing a natural material that respects the planet, supports the communities that grow it and offers comfort and quality to those who wear it.
