ALPACA WOOL
Originating from the highlands of the Andes, alpaca wool is an exceptional natural fiber, appreciated for its softness, lightness and warmth. Thanks to its thermoregulating and breathable properties, it effectively protects against the cold while remaining comfortable and pleasant to wear.
Fine, supple and resistant, it contains very little lanolin, giving it an exceptionally delicate feel. It also retains its shape, softness and elegance over time. Naturally available in a wide variety of shades, ranging from white to black, as well as beige, camel, brown and grey, it can help reduce the need for dyeing for certain colors.
PERUVIAN ALPACAS
We have chosen to use only alpaca wool from alpacas living in Peru, in the highlands of the Andes Mountains. They live freely in their natural habitat, without fences or enclosures.
Shearing is carried out with respect for the animals and at the time of year most suitable for their well-being.
That is why we are proud to be part of the Alpaca del Perú label, a guarantee of the quality of our products, crafted by Peruvian artisans.
ALPACA BABY WOOL
Baby alpaca wool refers to a selection of the finest and softest fibers from the alpaca fleece.
Contrary to what its name might suggest, it does not necessarily come from a young animal: the term “baby alpaca” primarily refers to an exceptionally high level of fineness and quality.
Lighter and more delicate than classic alpaca wool, it offers a silky feel and exceptional softness against the skin. Naturally warm, breathable and thermoregulating, it effectively protects against the cold without creating a feeling of heaviness.
Supple, durable and low in lanolin, baby alpaca fiber is perfectly suited to creating refined and comfortable pieces.

PIMA COTTON
Originally from Peru, Pima cotton is an exceptional natural fiber, renowned for its softness, lightness and remarkable durability. Its particularly long and fine fibers produce a smooth, supple and silky fabric that feels very pleasant against the skin.
Naturally breathable, it promotes air circulation and helps wick away moisture, providing a pleasant feeling of freshness, even on the warmest days. Its durable structure also helps reduce pilling and allows garments to retain their shape, softness and color intensity for longer.
FAQ
The fineness of the fiber, not the age of the animal. “Baby alpaca” refers to a grading category comprising the finest fibers from a fleece, around 22.5 microns, compared with 25 to 29 microns for a standard quality. The finer the fiber, the silkier and lighter the feel, and the rarer the material.
Exclusively from Peru. Our wool comes from alpacas raised in the highlands of the Andes Mountains, where they live freely in their natural habitat, without enclosures. Our Pima cotton is grown on the Peruvian coast. Everything is crafted by Peruvian artisans under the Alpaca del Perú label.
Shearing is necessary for their health: without it, the fleece continues to grow and can cause overheating and skin problems. It takes place once a year, during the period most conducive to the animal’s well-being. Alpacas are never slaughtered for their fiber: they live and produce wool for around twenty years.
Due to its rarity and the limited quantity of high-quality fibers. An alpaca is sheared only once a year, and only part of its fleece is actually usable after careful sorting. The finest fibers, which are particularly soft and highly sought-after, represent only a small fraction of the overall production. On a global scale, alpaca fiber production also remains very low compared with sheep’s wool. Finally, its price also reflects the expertise and craftsmanship of Peruvian workshops, whose workers are fairly compensated.
Wash your garment by hand at a maximum of 20°C, or in the washing machine on a special wool cycle. To remove excess water, gently roll it in a towel to absorb the water, without ever wringing it. Then leave it to dry flat in the open air.
